R&D Trainee

To extend our features portfolio, we are looking for an intern to perform R&D on camera with integrated IA. The goal is to provide an all-in-one package with camera and plate recognition integrated to Fleetback ecosystem.

Job description

Your primary focus will be analysing, designing and implementing a proof of concept for plate-recognition using camera. You will ensure that these components are robust and easy to maintain, while offering the most appropriate services for their cost. Market analysis regarding the different camera solutions is also a key task in the process of decision.

Some of your key tasks are:

Analysing camera solutions available on the market and defining pros and cons for each solution;

Defining customer use cases with the Business team;

Designing integration of cameras into Fleetback;

– Implementing a proof-of-concept for integration of camera and recognition in Fleetback;

Defining test cases with the Quality team;

– Being familiar with Fleetback technological stack (CloudFormation, API Gateway, Lambdas, EC2 Instances, RDS…);

– Participating to technical meeting and decisions and ensuring customer requests match product vision and technologies;

– Eventually supporting day-to-day operations;

– Ensuring the best quality, performance and maintainability of the ecosystem, while focusing on Time to Market;

– Mutually sharing and strengthening your knowledge with the rest of the team;

– Being a driver of change and innovation within the company.

 

Qualifications

To fulfil this key role in our organization, we are looking for an enthusiastic personality with the following skills and background:

– You love product development! You are strongly motivated to take part of all activities related to product lifecycle;

– You have a concise and customer-oriented mindset;

– You are smart, motivated, creative and able to bring innovative solutions;

– You hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification;

– You have experience in Scrum or other agile methodologies;

– Knowledge of the automotive sector, and/or a previous experience working for an automotive software editor, is considered as an asset.
